Environment:

Miarolytic cavities of alkalic pegmatites. Replaces ilmenite. Polymorph of cafetite.

Name Origin:

Named for Kicolai Grigorevich Kassin (1885-1949), Russian Geologist and academician, discoverer of the Afrikanda massif on the Kola Peninsula.
