Empirical Formula:

Environment:

Isostructural with calzirtite. In a skarn assemblage resulted from metasomatic reactions affecting a felsic volcanic rock, followed by high-grade metamorphism in an environment of h igh f(O2 ) and silica undersaturation.

Named after Urban Hiarne (1641-1724), a pioneer in Swedish geology.
