Environment:

Intimately mixed with quartz (Vesuvius, Italy); in a mudstone xenolith ejected from a scoria cone (Sattelberg volcanic cone, Germany).

Locality:

Name Origin:

Named for a high copper content and presumed similarity to rivaite.
